Lesson of the Lark is a moving one-sit, historical fiction, picture book for children and teens. It celebrates the centennial of the Nineteenth Amendment of the United States constitution. The target audience for this work is children ages 10-16. The reading level and vocabulary complexity have been strategically structured in a manner that will lead to differentiation within the creation of lessons.

It is intended to be rigorous, while also maintaining a developmentally appropriate balance. The learning objectives can be independently modified in order to achieve success for every learner.
